August 15th - 19th: Producing, editing, uploading a school mini-TV news.

Task 4.   Creating your own mini-TV news  (three minutes).

Based on all the previous tasks,  you have the opportunity to be a video producer.!!  Use the texts you wrote in the previous tasks.

v Organize your own team. ( 5 students)
v  Agree with your team partners on the sections and time for your activity.

v Think of an interesting name for your mini-TV news.

v v Use window Movie maker, following the tips in the site provided.

                        v Upload the video on youtube to share with other   people.
v Send the video to the provided e-mail.
Purpose:  To produce a school mini-TV news using image and sound editing tools, and sharing the product on the web. (youtube)

august 8th - 12th: Recording a short article.

Task 3.    a.  Listening to a News Report.
           Listen carefully to the news report on the first web site-randall's site ( sites for consulting).
  •   Answer the questions there.  
  •   Check your final score.
  •   Print the sheet with the answers and bring it to class.
  
                 b. Reading a short article aloud and recording it.
From the web site suggested, select one of the short articles published and practice reading them aloud.
v In the classroom, practice reading loud out the selected article, with your partner. Imagine you are a TV news presenter.
v Ask the teacher to confirm your pronunciation and correct whatever mispronunciation.
v  At home, record the reading of the selected article, with your own voice, using the suggested voice editor.
v File it and send it to the e-mail.
 Purpose:   to read loud out a short article and record it, paying particular attention to  pronunciation patterns already practiced in class.  A voice editing program will be used.

August 1st - 5th: Stages in the process of writing a text.

Writing a text is a well-organised process. It follows some specific steps.

The first writing produced in the process.

Reading   and checking  the first text produced.

The final text already checked and adjusted.

  TASK  2.


v  Using the diagram drawn in TASK 1, write the first draft of your article. For this purpose, write three paragraphs.  (about 90 words).

Comment the article read and your draft with  with your team partners.

v  The teacher will read it and will send it back to you  for the corresponding adjustment and final edition.
Purpose:  to write the first draft of an article that describes an event that happened in the surroundings of the neighborhood, the school or the locality.

August 1st - 5th : How to Write a short description about particular events.

When we want to describe a particular event, we must have into account the following aspects:

Task 1.
Think of special events that have happened in your neighborhood, your school or your locality recently.

  a. Draw a diagram about one of those events, using the      categories in table 1.

 b. Use smartArt in Word processsor to do this.

 c. Send your diagram to the following email:

d. Make a copy of your diagram and share it with your partners in class: tell them what difficulties you had and how you solved them.

Purpose: To understand and produce news reports about our surroundings (home, school, locality, city, etc) following the aspects suggested.
